The 5K is coming up in a
very short
three weeks, and it is time to start adding some speedwork into the fold. Not much, because I am a weakling, but enough so that I'll feel it. So tonight I plan to jog to the nearest high school track, then do a couple "fast" laps on the track with rest in between. My goal is to run the full laps at 80-90% of my MHR, without stopping to walk.
That loop incorporates much of one of my regular routes. It's a great one! The hills up 34th St are tough but do-able, and some actually feel GOOD...
